Our Story

Home Sweet Homeshare was born from a powerful idea: to solve two pressing problems with one innovative solution. Older homeowners often struggle to maintain their independence and financial stability, while young professionals face the challenges of finding affordable housing in desirable urban areas.

Our founders, Adam Kobel and Sean McGrail, envisioned a world where empty nesters could turn their spare rooms into a source of income and assistance, while young people could find affordable housing and make meaningful connections.

Launched in 2024, Home Sweet Homeshare began in the Boston area, carefully matching homeowners with houseguests.
